A normal sparrow survived for a century. That's where Mystia Lorelei began. When she became a youkai, she discovered that her song had become a song of confusion -- a song which would drive people insane. Luckily, as a youkai, this served her purposes. She used the song she'd found, alongside her ability to cause night-blindness, to hunt unwitting humans.
After the Stolen Moon incident, she grew bored, and started up a food stand. She serves sparrow sake, pastries, and grilled lamprey to her customers. Apparently, her lamprey is a cure for night blindness! But don't be fooled. It's Mystia herself who makes her customers night-blind, only removing the curse as they eat the lamprey. This con act helps her stall's reputation.
Despite being a little night sparrow, Mystia has the confidence of an eagle -- she could even be called over-confident. Boisterous and proud of her heritage, Mystia isn't very friendly with humans. Unfortunately, she's still a bird-brain. She's very forgetful, and doesn't tend to worry much about the consequences of her actions. She doesn't worry about knowing everything, either. She doesn't even understand her songs completely! She has the tenacity of ten thousand birds, refusing to give up even when faced with opponents of a higher power level. She's very dramatic, and sometimes a little rude. She enjoys frightening humans almost as much as she enjoys eating them. But if the human she's terrorising has an important mission, or is in a hurry, she might leave them alone. If she were a little less bird brained, she might realise how annoying she can be.
Kyouko Kasodani: The singer and other member of Choujuu Gigaku, Mystia's band. She wanted to sing, but she'd always make the audience bewildered... so instead, she plays the guitar.
Yuyuko Saigyouji: She tried to eat Mystia, and the night sparrow hasn't yet forgiven her.
